KYRGYZ NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Kyrgyz National University was established in 1925, named after Jusup Balasagyn is the government's higher educational medical institution in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. It is located in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. The Scientific Council is the highest collegiate governing body of Kyrgyz National University. The university is counted in the list of the oldest and renowned medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan. It was started as the Kyrgyz Institute of Education. Later in 1972, it was renamed as Kyrgyz State University on the 50^th anniversary of the USSR. And in 1982, the university was granted the Soviet Union’s Order of the Red Banner of Labor. KNU is accredited and recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science, Kyrgyzstan.

The education system of the university follows the Bologna Process. The university is equipped with all modern techniques and it delivers excellent quality of education in the country. The language of instruction in the university is English for international students, while Russian and Kyrgyz language follows by the local students in the university.
