ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates)-

It is a certification to assess the eligibility of International medical graduates to enroll in residency or fellowship programs in the United States that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

For international medical graduates, ECFMG acts as a registration and score reporting agency for USMLE. Foreign medical students must have an ECFMG certificate to take admission into Residency or fellowship programs in the United States.

It consists of three-step examination: Step1, Step2CK, Step2CS

The ECFMG certificate is issued to a physician if he or she passes the three exams within a time period of seven years.
